Child Center of Pennsylvania honors Brian Houchins Community Recognition Award

Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg is awarded the A Community Recognition Award.  This prestigious award is introduced yearly to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of youngsters in our group.

Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary college trainer and group volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's schooling and welfare.  Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas.  Houchins' initiatives embrace establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a successful community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, ensuring protected and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.

The event is expected to be on January 15,in January 15th,2024,on the Mechanicsburg Community Center.  The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
